I could use digital stories in other classes for projects instead of making a poster or powerpoint because they explain the same amount of information just in a more interesting way. The thing I enjoyed the most was making the introduction picture in paint. The thing I found most difficult was recording because I couldnt tell if I was talking too loud or too quiet. I dont think I will ever use this again for personal use.

Online experience A reflection
In this class, we learned alot about technology. Technology is important because it makes our lives easier and most of our lives revolve around technology. Technology has changed alot in the past 5 years. Now, almost everyone has a cell phone and even little kids know how to play games on the Internet and search the web. I think technology will change alot in the next 5 years. I think they will invent 5 or more new ipads that are all generally the same and i think they will invent bigger and bigger TVs.
We used the internet for school work. I use my cell phone, ipod, and laptop for personal use every day. Most of what we used in this class we can use in the future for school work. I will use wiki for school work in the future. For personal use, i might use blogger and igoogle. I will use avatars and widgets/gadgets for sure. I will never use podcasting or delicious ever again. My favorite to create were the Avatars and my least favorite was podcasting.

Cyber Bully Video
In the movie, a girl named Taylor was being bullied and she tried to kill herself. This happens all the time in real life and in some of the cases we talked about in class. For example, the Megan Meier case. Some similarities are when Tatylor kept getting online to see what people were saying and she got more hurt each time. When people are cyberbullied, they want to know what people are saying, but they dont want to get hurt. Some differences are when Taylor stands up to the bully. A normal person wouldnt do that.

Voki v. Blabberize
Voki allowed me to create an avatar of myself and customize it. Blabberize used a picture of the internet and made it mouth move. Voki was much easier to use because blabberize was very hard to get the mouth exactly right. I liked voki better and i would use it again. I could use blabberize in the future for powerpoints about someone in history class.

Online Safety
Social Networks are sites that you can talk to friends and upload pictures for the world to see. When social networking, you need to be sure not to give out personal information and never talk to stranger. They might not be who they say they are. Only add people you know as your friends.
Password safety is how strong your password is so people cant find it out. Make sure your password is long and has capital letters, lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers. Use an expression that is easy to remember as the base of your password. Never use anything personal such as birthday, name, or pet as your password.
Netiquette is the way you behave online. You should be nice to people and stay safe. Don't cyber bully or say anything that you wouldn't say in person. Remember that there is a person behind the screen recieving your messages.

Even if your young and dont have credit cards, your ID can still be stolen through your name, bithday, and social security number.

Real life stories
The personal information that Teresa gave out was her phone number. I never put personal information on the Internet besides my name. When using the Internet, the most important thing to remember is to watch out for someone that could hurt you.
Amy's Choice
Amy was depressed about her life so she started talking to someone online. He told her that she could go live with him and things would be better. 2 days after she left, the cops found them and sent him to jail. She regrets doing this and is never going to do it again.

Netiquette
Netiquette is the etiquette that you use on the web. They are the rules to good behavior on the Internet. Netiquette affects everyone and what you do on social networks. Some examples of good netiquette is respecting people’s privacy and not going through their emails. Some examples of poor netiquette are pointing out someone’s mistakes in front of everyone on the web and bullying people over the Internet.

Social network
A social network is a website where you can communicate and interact with friends. A digital footprint is what stays on the web and leaves a "footprint". Social networking affects digital footprints because what you do on a social network will stay on forever. Every picture you post, every message you send, and every post your tagged in.

Copyright
P2P (Peer to Peer) networks like Limewire or KaZaA violate copyright law. To put it simple, YOU MAY copy your own CD for your personal use only. YOU MAY NOT give this copy to another person. The online infringement of copyrighted music can be punished up to three years in prison and $250,000 in fines. If this happens to the same person a second time, they will be imprisoned up to six years. In July 2007, Universal Music Group decided not to renew their contract with Itunes. This was based upon the issue of pricing songs. Universal wanted to be able to charge more or less depending on the artist, and Itunes standard price was 99 cents per song.

Yankee Candle V. New England Candle Company
This case of Copyright included Yankee Candle and New England Candle Company. On September 9th, 1996 in Holyoke Massachusetts, Yankee candle filed a suit against New England Candle Company for copyright and trade dress infringement. Yankee Candle claimed that copyright protection for both the blueprints and the actual design of the Holyoke store that was embodied in the blueprints. The court found that Yankee Candle was an internal structure and not a "building". Since Yankee Candle did not design the walls or ceilings of the store, Yankee Candle was not the author of the structure. The court granted New England’s summary judgment on all other counts.

Research Project Wrap-up
The country i did was Japan. My favorite part of the project was watching everyone else give their presentations and learning about countries. My least favorite part was presenting the powerpoint. I learned that Mount Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan. The most difficult information to find was information about Shinjuku. The strongest point was the tour spots and the weak point was making eye contact.

My Year in Review
The highlight of 2011 was going to Florida over summer break. The low point was having to start school again after summer break was over. My goals for 2012 is getting all A's in every class. If i was given $100,000 to start 2012, I would buy alot of clothes and take my family on a trip. I would also start saving up to go to college.
